Club Ribeye Rallies

 

We organise one day and weekend rallies at different venues around the UK. The dates will be posted here on the website and members will be informed by individual emails.

 

RIBEYE DAY RALLY, Dartmouth to South Pool, Salcombe, 30 May 2008

Numbers are limited so we can only take bookings on a first come first served basis. This fun packed day, will enable you to do a coastal trip in company, with the safety net of other boats and experienced drivers on hand to give advice and help if needed.
We can help with everything from launching your boat, storing your trailer to passage planning. We will be there if anything goes wrong en route. Floating accommodation is available with moorings on the Friday night and hotel accomodation ashore on Saturday night if required.

 

Itinerary

Meet in Dartmouth between 9.00am and 10.00am.

Free parking available for trailers. Gates open to trailer park from 9.00am.

Breakfast afloat on the Res Nova restaurant from 9.30am (www.resnova.co.uk).
Planning meeting at 11.00 on the Res Nova.

Set off from Dartmouth at 11.30am.
Arrive South Pool, Salcombe approx 2.00pm.

Lunch at Millbrook Inn, South Pool, where mooring is available (www.millbrookinnsouthpool.co.uk).

Return to Dartmouth approx 5.00pm.

 

Vessel entry requirements:	VHF radio and licence
	Insurance to cover the trip and the mooring
	RIB length minimum 5m, capable of cruising at 20 knots
	Lifejackets for all crew
	An offshore distress flare pack
	Anchor kit
	Mooring kit
	Tool Kit
	Engine spares as recommended by your vessel
	Spare fuel
Previous experience required:	Basic boat handling

Notes

Dartmouth has a slip next to the Dart Marina Hotel on the Dartmouth side. If you would like help launching please let us know in advance and we will arrange to have one of our instructors meet you there.

Fuel is available in Dartmouth, next to the Res Nova Floating Inn, our starting point for the Rally.
